Here are my stats:

- Craniosynostosis. Surgery at 3 months old. Cosmetic surgery wasn’t done on the head 40 years ago. Too risky. I could have died or went blind in my left eye at the least. I got away with just being ugly.

- Drowning scuba diving.

- Slashed wrists in HS.

- Beta burn.

- Drug OD after my divorce.

- Seizure a year later. Don’t detoxify on your own. It can kill you. I was in ICU for 5 days under an induced coma so I wouldn’t be paralyzed. I wore a brace for 90 days to hold my back together.

- To many pills to kill the pain.

- Ambien induced zombified behavior leading to a car wreck.

- One more to add: Early April just this year (2010): platelet count of ~11K

Usually, the platelet count is about 150,000 to 350,000 platelets in a microliter of blood. In people with a low platelet count, bleeding is more likely to occur, even after a slight injury. When the platelet count is very low (below 20,000), massive bleeding may occur even when there is no injury. Bleeding may be life threatening.

I’m only 43, so I’m sure I’ll be adding to the list.
